NYTimes:

KRYVYI RIH, Ukraine — The solicitation to commit treason came to Oleksandr Vilkul on the second day of the war, in a phone call from an old colleague.

Mr. Vilkul, the scion of a powerful political family in southeastern Ukraine that was long seen as harboring pro-Russian views, took the call as Russian troops were advancing to within a few miles of his hometown, Kryvyi Rih.

“He said, ‘Oleksandr Yurivich, you are looking at the map, you see the situation is predetermined,’” Mr. Vilkul said, recalling the conversation with a fellow minister in a former, pro-Russian Ukrainian government.

“Sign an agreement of friendship, cooperation and defense with Russia and they will have good relations with you,” the former colleague said. “You will be a big person in the new Ukraine.”

The offer failed spectacularly. Once war had begun, Mr. Vilkul said, the gray area seeped out of Ukrainian politics for him. Missiles striking his hometown made the choice obvious: He would fight back.

“I responded with profanity,” Mr. Vilkul said in an interview.

Hvorfor er E.Musk forblændet af DT?

Musk On Bringing Trump Back To Twitter: ‘It Was Not Correct’ To Ban Him

Kathy D

54 minutes ago“In one of the first tests of freedom of speech, the House passed the Sedition Act, permitting the deportation, fine, or imprisonment of anyone deemed a threat or publishing “false, scandalous, or malicious writing” against the government of the United States.”

1 second ago [Svar til:] @Kathy D [quote from Wikipedia] In 1798, President John Adams signed the Alien and Sedition Acts, which were passed by the Federalist-dominated 5th United States Congress.[1][a] They made it harder for an immigrant to become a citizen (Naturalization Act), allowed the president to imprison and deport non-citizens who were known as dangerous … or who were from a hostile nation (“Alien Enemies Act” of 1798),[3] and criminalized making ‘false statements’ critical of the federal government [Wikip.]

[Svar til:] @Kathy D :: So the problem is that the President is above the common man in one respect, namely you can’t drag him to court for “normal crimes” like fraud and money-laundering, you need to establish he has dementia or is a traitor. And I am not sure why it isn’t obvious from the speeches DT made that he IS a traitor, but apparently the political system is hesitant about bringing him to a court martial. There are many explanations, all working against a fast process for a presidential traitor.

The most problematic is that he still has many followers, even politicians in the GOP who earlier called DT a demagogue, criminal, traitor and all, Putin’s lapdog or what not.

To many of us this number of followers is extremely perplexing. This is civil war of a kind.

Ville du købe en Tesla efter at Musk har sagt at han vil tillade DT propagandere på Twitter?

Hvor mange år er der tilbage før DT ikke orker mere?
