Skrivefelt …

Etymologien fra opslaget i Ordbog Over Det Danske Sprog (ODS) i al sin forkortede gru:

  1. I do have to copy paste all of your posts into the translator so not always sure I get the right meaning.
I recently copied Tøm Papirkurven into the translator and it said: Empty Trash. lol Now that I can understand very well. 🙂 It gives me a whole new outlook on your blog. 😉

    • Papirkurven: paper waste basket.
Empty your paper waste basket, use what you tried to write, use it for communicating, – and say things without swearing (nicely, decently).

Another metafor for neverused writings is the “desk-drawer” – then my message comes to sound like this: “empty your desk drawer – instead of writing for it – and use what you write, – try to do it as decently as possible”.

Why were you interested in the name of the blogg? You could have asked me. Originally I used it just to try out WordPress “skins” and I ran a weblog on d-axel.dk/blox. However, getting a decent Internet connection was very hard and when I watched YouTube it was annoying if somebody tried to fetch all content from the d-axel weblog.🙂 Then in 2008 suddenly I had no Internet connection due to the ISP change, and only when I ordered a new cable be digged/shot they woke up and opened the internet connection – and in the meantime, 6 weeks, I used office facilities at work to run this “emergency weblog”.

It uses a WP-skin which allows large pictures, “The Journalist 1v9” but this is no longer available to new users. The skin I used for “Pronunciation” weblog (udtale.wordpress.com) is neither better nor worse, BUT I don’t really like it.

      • I think blog names are interesting. I like to think the name can tell me something about the blogger. Or my imagination tells me that I do. 🙂

I had a hard time or rather it took me a long time to choose a name. I read so many cute and clever titles and couldn’t make up one. 😦 So I sat and sighed and sighed. Hence ladysighs. REALLY CLEVER!

Now I wish I had named my blog Trash Can. As that is what my blog contains…a bunch of worthless nonsense. lol

I don’t know anything about weblogs or d-axel.dk/blox or much about skins or internet connections. 😦

The picture of the sunset with the silhouetted trees is lovely.

        • Thank you – You can not know about d-axel.dk/blox – the web-name exists, but the weblog isn’t running any more. It was in Danish. I tried for a brief period of time to see if I could get international readers by having an English version, however, – did not work.

No your blog is not a trash can. I understood your thoughts from the first comment and I repeat: Take what writings you have got in your desk drawer, or paper waste basket, do NOT – I repeat NOT! – discard them, use them – improve them, speak for yourself in a decent manner. Everything you say is worth something🙂

  2. Dejligt billede.
